Peter Johnson, New Plymouth

To Whom it May Concern

My name is Peter Johnson and, as well as being a farmer in South Taranaki, I am a district councillor for my region. My wife and I have a daughter Kate who, because of problems she had at birth, has a few difficulties. One of these is that she is a severe epileptic.  Very rarely in her 18 years has she been far from home or help in her entire life.

She is studying Early Childhood Education and wanted to go to further tertiary training in New Plymouth , some 80km away. Our main concern was not where she would board or the school she was at but it was how she will get around. To further explain, she doesn’t have a licence and gets lost in an empty room.

We thought we would try out Driving Miss Daisy as it would provide a degree of familiarity rather than a taxi service.

To say that our expectations were exceeded is to put it lightly. We found that  that not only was she being taken to and from appointments on time but Jenny Tobeck went out of her way to insure that Kate was safe at all times as well as happy to do a bit extra to make sure Kate was happy.

We at home slept well at night knowing she had that sort of support.

At times Kate can be a little bit trying and  very forgetful but Jenny handled all issues that came her way.

To be honest I thought Jenny was under paid for what she did and would recommend this service to anyone who is looking for any form of transport.

Finally we are very grateful to Jenny and her service and I know Kate is extremely appreciative of Jenny’s help while she was studying.
