Welcome to Driving Miss Daisy Waimakariri West.

My name is Heather Anderson, and along with Rochelle McLachlan, are thrilled to provide an excellent companion care service to our district, which has successfully operated in North Canterbury since 2012.

We have both been residents in Kaiapoi for over 20 years and are passionate about our North Canterbury community. I have an extensive background in Passenger Transport with my most rewarding role in Operational Management for Special Education School Transport. Rochelle has an extensive background in Compliance and Health & Safety Management which is a great asset to our ongoing commitment to keeping everyone safe.

Driving Miss Daisy is a personalised companion driving service, and we provide a caring, safe and reliable service for you, your family or friends. Making a difference is important to us, and our service provides an opportunity for you or your family to stay connected to the community and maintain important interests and activities.

Driving Miss Daisy offers:
     •  Door-to-door travel to appointments, airport, shopping trips etc.
     •  Door-to-door travel for children for school pickups and after-school activities.
     •  Outings with friends.
     •  Companion service to accompany to appointments or events.
     • Travel options for your pets, trips to the vets etc.

We have a fantastic team of drivers who embody the Driving Miss Daisy ethos. We all enjoy meeting and assisting our clients and are extremely proud of our 100% customer satisfaction results from the multiple surveys undertaken over the years. We have a modern, reliable and well serviced fleet of 8 vehicles, including two wheelchair accessible vehicles, to cover everyone’s needs.

We are an ACC contracted supplier and accept the Total Mobility Scheme card which makes our personal service even more affordable.
