Welcome to Driving Miss Daisy Waimakariri West.

My name is Vaughan Kilner, and together with my wife Karla we are excited to be the owners of Driving Miss Daisy Waimakariri West.  I will be your Franchisee Manager and your first point of contact. Karla will be in a support role as she has her own accounting business in Rangiora.

We have lived in North Canterbury for the past 23 years, mostly in Rangiora, having moved from Christchurch.  Vaughan was born and raised on the West Coast and Karla moved down to Christchurch from Auckland when she was 9 years old.  We have been married for 26 years and have 2 adult children. I have just finished 22 years of service at Avsec Aviation Security Service where I was doing shift work.  One of the reasons for buying Driving Miss Daisy Waimakariri West was to get out of shift work and be more involved in the community, supporting people.   I enjoy helping others whether it is building a fence or giving blood/plasma. A passionate fisherman and avid rock collector.

We have a fantastic team of drivers who embody the Driving Miss Daisy ethos. We all enjoy meeting and assisting our clients. We have a modern, reliable and well serviced fleet of vehicles, including a wheelchair accessible vehicle, to cover everyone’s needs.

We are an ACC contracted supplier and accept the Total Mobility Scheme card which makes our personal service even more affordable.
