Ruth Masters - New Franchisee of the Year 2023
My name is Ruth Masters. I moved from Auckland to the beautiful Bay of Plenty in 2021 with my husband Brandon.
While living in Auckland I went from being a full-time parent to working in office administration and then as a customer service agent with Air New Zealand for 7.5 years. My husband, Brandon, and I left New Zealand in 2015 to tour around Australia.
On our return to New Zealand in 2017, we obtained jobs driving for an airport shuttle company. Post covid, I started relieving for a childcare company. After the second lockdown in 2021, we decided that it was time for a change, so, we moved to the magnificent Bay of Plenty.
While driving to work one day, I heard an ad for Driving Miss Daisy. This was it – definitely me!
My passion for helping and my love of people could all be incorporated into one. My compassion and empathy for all, regardless of ethnicity, and respect for their cultures along with great communication and a sense of humour, can be put to good use.
Buying a Driving Miss Daisy franchise gives me the opportunity to provide a service to the community while incorporating all the above. My aim and greatest hopes are to provide a caring and friendly environment for my clients: the best service I possibly can.
When not working, I thoroughly enjoy a good book, gardening, and taking walks around our beautiful parks and walkways. What is most important to me is friends and family, my three beautiful daughters and two gorgeous grandsons—my best achievement.
I look forward to meeting many of you in the weeks, months, and years ahead.
