Ponsonby-Pt Chev
Jana Seymour - Brand Ambassador Award 2023
Hello!
I’m Jana Seymour and my husband Theo Brandt and I are the proud owners of the Driving Miss Daisy service for Ponsonby-Pt Chev.
Our service restores independence, provides companionship and assistance not available with other transport options and gives a helping hand to people juggling the demands of elderly parents, children or pets.
We have lived in Ponsonby and Westmere for the last thirty years and see this as a great opportunity to help people in our community. At home we have two school age children, Elsa and Claude, who attend the local college and intermediate school, as well as our menagerie of two dogs and three cats.
In my varied career I worked in theatre as a stage manager before completing a counselling diploma in my early thirties. I was lucky to be able to stay home with our children, using my extra time to involve myself with their schools and interests as well as becoming a volunteer for Mercy Hospice.
Theo and I have both cared for relatives and friends who needed transport and companionship when circumstances or health have changed. I enjoy spending time with people – I find it very rewarding to slow down, chat and to give practical and friendly help and support.
We are an ACC approved vendor and also offer the Total Mobility Service (TMS). You can choose Driving Miss Daisy as your ACC provider transport service, and anyone with a TM card can receive the regional discount.
All costs are agreed up front, so there’s no need to worry about a ticking meter or an impatient driver. And with our service you are guaranteed to find a friendly face and someone you know every time.
So, whether I’m taking you shopping, to a doctor or hospital appointment, dropping a precious pooch off at the parlour or making sure your children get safely on a flight to visit grandparents – I’m very pleased to help make your life easier and more rewarding.
