Elizabeth Henry nominated by Clive Fernandes from Driving Miss Daisy One Tree Hill.
Elizabeth joined the One Tree Hill team in April 2017. She is a kind, trustworthy and cheerful team member. Elizabeth worked as a phlebotomist with Medlabs and after her retirement wanted to do something that would still allow her to connect with people. So, she chose to work with Driving Miss Daisy as a companion driver. Elizabeth is extremely good with clients and Clive often receives wonderful feedback on her exceptional service.
Here is an example from a customer who lives in a local Resthome. The client is 90 years old and recently lost her son to cancer, as a result she was very upset and distressed. She became very lonely and started losing her confidence. Elizabeth took her shopping every week and kept tabs on her by occasionally calling her. Elizabeth played a key part in enabling this client to regain her independence and resilience. In the client’s own words, “Elizabeth is extraordinary, she makes me feel great and brings out the confidence in me to carry on my life, staying positive always – thank you Elizabeth and Driving Miss Daisy for being a part of my life”.
