Driving Miss Daisy

Maura, of Wellington's Driving Miss Daisy, has helped me get used to walking in town next to the traffic and crossing roads. I suffer from a phobia and experience panic symptoms when exposed to heavy traffic, especially in wide roads and at big intersections.
Maura has met me in town once a week and has walked next to or behind me to help me get used to the "uncomfortable" areas. This has given me the confidence to do it on my own.
DMD is exactly the kind of adaptable service I was looking for, invaluable.

I've found that Driving Miss Daisy has been a caring, reliable taxi service for me with hospital, physio and Resthome visits to my husband.  I don't drive and am learning to walk properley after a major foot operation.  Extra care and help is given for older people to get in and out of the taxi.
