Hello from the South
My name is Sandi and I am married to Barrie. We have two grown children (now living away from home), and in my spare time I enjoy reading and keeping fit by going to the gym.
I have worked in a pharmacy for the past 30 years and have loved every minute of it. It has been great to be able to assist customers with their medication and help organise their medical appointments if required. As part of my role, I also enjoyed doing home visits just to have a catch up and a cuppa, and I have seen first hand how people can lose their independence when they lose their drivers licence. That’s where Driving Miss Daisy Timaru comes in.
Having enjoyed the friendships that I have made in my previous job, I am now looking forward to making many more with my Driving Miss Daisy Timaru service. I believe that the elderly have a huge amount of knowledge that they are willing to share with anyone willing to listen, and I’m sure there’s a few stories to tell also.
