Hi, I'm Frances Welch. My husband Craig Fraser and I have recently moved to Nelson (my home town) to set up Driving Miss Daisy Nelson Ltd.

I grew up in Nelson and after finishing school moved to Wellington to do my nursing training. After some years of working both in the hospital and as a practice nurse I resigned to focus on raising my family.

When the youngest of my 3 children started kindergarten I went back to work and for the last 10 years I have been working at Wellington Hospital most recently in an Outpatients Clinic.

With the children grown up and gone, it was time for a new challenge. One day as I was leaving work I picked up a Driving Miss Daisy brochure quite by chance. I was immediately drawn to the idea. Not only was it a great business concept but it also meant the opportunity of moving back to Nelson.

Driving Miss Daisy is an exciting opportunity to continue serving the community while meeting people from all walks of life and offering a very important and unique service to the people of Nelson.

When I'm not working you'll find me either in the garden, reading a good book or walking our dog along the beach.
