Melanie Harper - Franchisor

After driving an elderly relative for over 8 years, ferrying her three children around to ballet, swimming, cricket, drama, rugby, horse-riding and music lessons, and driving tourists for another organisation, Melanie had a dream of starting her own companion driving service. She decided to launch her own Driving Miss Daisy business in Hawke's Bay.

Melanie’s passion is to support the growing network of Franchise Owners, and to have "Daisies" in every town in New Zealand so they can look after all the wonderful people who will benefit from their services. She works closely with her husband Jack to further develop the business and achieve these goals.

Jack Harper - Franchisor

Jack comes from a finance background and has spent many years building his own sharebroking, financial planning and business consultancy companies. Jack is very involved in setting the business strategy for Driving Miss Daisy as Managing Director, and works closely with Melanie to develop and run Driving Miss Daisy NZ Ltd.

In his spare time Jack enjoys tennis, snow skiing and cricket, and also represents the Hawke's Bay Cricket Association Board of Directors. Together with Melanie, they have three children and live in Havelock North.

Ngaio Lewis - Office Manager

Ngaio comes to us having spent the last three years being a full time Mum. Before moving to the Bay as a lifestyle choice, she worked as a Full Time Office Manager for a Property Developer in Auckland. Ngaio is involved now with keeping on top of the day to day activites of Driving Miss Daisy NZ Ltd Head Office, relieving Jack and Mel so they can focus on developing the company to its full potential.

In her spare time Ngaio enjoys her fitness classes, running up the Peak, and spending time with friends and family. She also plays the piano, and loves good food and great wine. Her husband Ash works in the Wine Industry and they have two children Lewis (13) and Bella (8) who keep them on their toes.
